2026 Global Health EDCTP3 Calls Open to Applications
Funding for projects tackling tuberculosis, lower respiratory tract infections, HIV, and more in sub-Saharan Africa.
Global Health European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership 3 (Global Health EDCTP3) is offering up to €147 million for projects tackling specific disease areas as well as cross-cutting global challenges, including the critical interlinkages between climate and health.
The 2026 calls for proposals consist of:
- Four research and innovation action (RIA) topics aimed at developing new or improved TB drugs, supporting the prevention and management of lower respiratory tract infections, ensuring better prevention, treatment and management of HIV and its co-infections and co-morbidities, and addressing the global challenge of climate and health.
- Two coordination and support action (CSA) topics to support training and capacity-building activities in the areas of ethics, regulatory and pharmacovigilance, and enhance integrated research and healthcare through digital innovation and artificial intelligence.
Participation is generally open to all legal entities, regardless of their place of establishment; however, eligibility for funding is restricted to organisations based in an European Union (EU) Member State, countries associated to Horizon Europe and countries that are members of the EDCTP Association.
First stage proposals can be submitted to the RIA topics until 4 March 2026.
Proposals can be submitted to the CSA topics until 31 August 2026.
Registration is open for an online Info Day on 5 February 2026.
