Rank Prize Funds Nutrition Committee New Lecturer Awards Now Open
Rank Prize Funds is a charitable organisation which seeks to recognise excellence in specific fields of research (crop husbandry, human nutrition, animal nutrition and optoelectronics) and reward innovators for their dedication and outstanding contribution.
The Rank Prize Funds Nutrition Committee New Lecturer Awards are given to UK-based lecturers, researchers and fellows working in the areas of human nutrition, animal nutrition (as distinct from animal husbandry) or crop science. The funding is designed to advance the individual’s career and the proposal should outline how the grant will contribute to career aspirations.
This scheme is open to individuals working in UK institutions as newly appointed lecturers, researchers of equivalent status in research institutes or fellows with their own independent support. Consideration will also be given to applications from clinicians in an academic clinical post or supported by an appropriate fellowship.
Applicants should be within the first two years of their appointment and will normally be three to nine years from their PhD (however, allowance will be made for career breaks).
Funding of up to £25,000 is available. This can be used to fund any aspect of research that will further the applicant’s career.
Applications must be submitted by the deadline of 24 August 2020.
