EUREKA Cluster Metallurgy Europe 2019 Call Now Open
Metallurgy Europe is a seven-year EUREKA Cluster Program with the aim of developing and industrialising the next-generation of metallic materials and metallurgical manufacturing routes for the 21st century.
The Third Call for Project Proposals is now open. High-impact, market and economically driven cluster projects are invited to apply.
Project proposals should address one or multiple aspects of the following three topics:
1. New metallic/metallurgical materials or products
2. New production processes for metallic/metallurgical applications
3. Ecological challenge of Metallurgy
Project proposals should be close to industry and aim to develop products or services that will be available and sustainable on the market. It is preferred that project proposals either increase the TRL (technical readiness level) of a product or service in a very substantial manner or lead to a TRL corresponding to introduction into the market.
Successful projects receive the Metallurgy Europe Cluster Quality Label and are recommended to relevant public authorities for co-funding consideration.
The participating countries (already committed to fund Metallurgy Europe projects) are: Switzerland, Czech Republic, Finland, Malta, South Africa and Turkey. In addition, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Hungary, Ireland, Portugal and Spain are interested countries, meaning that funding could be available through national funding programmes, but it is not committed beforehand.
Consortia must consist of at least two different Metallurgy Europe participating countries. Partners from other countries may also participate in projects but must organise funding from national innovation promotion agencies in their respective home countries.
The deadline for submission of Project Outline Proposals is 17 May 2019 (17:00 CET).
It is anticipated that successful projects will be invited to submit full project proposals at the end of June 2019.
