France-Slovenia Hubert Curien Partnership 2023 ‘Proteus’ Programme

Mobility funding for researchers in Slovenia and in France, particularly those at an early stage of their research career, collaborating on bilateral research projects in any discipline.

The Hubert Curien Partnership (PHC) programme promotes the exchange of scientific and technical excellence between research teams in France and various partner countries through joint research projects and bilateral research visits.

The ‘Proteus’ initiative provides funding to cover the costs of the reciprocal mobility of research collaborators between France and Slovenia. It is jointly administered by Campus France and the Slovenian Ministry of Education, Science and Sport.

Eligible joint research teams involve researchers from each country who are affiliated with higher education institutions or other research organisations. Companies can participate in the project as long as they are associated with an academic partner.

Collaborations will be funded for two years each, and may be in any discipline. Priority will be given to projects whose proposed leaders have not received support from the two previous calls of this programme.

Funds are to be used exclusively for travel costs and living expenses of visiting researchers, up to specified limits. The Hubert Curien programme focuses on early career researchers, and project activities are expected to include research visits by doctoral students and/or early career postdoctoral fellows. The average amount of funding granted to participating French teams is around €1,500 per project per year.

Applications must be submitted in parallel by both French and Slovenian partners via their respective administrators.

The joint deadline for application to the 2023 programme is 21 April 2022.

Results shall be announced in November 2022 with projects to begin in January 2023.
