Abbey Fellowships in Painting offer three annual three-month residencies at BSR for mid-career artists. The definition of painting is understood to include all artists working in the ‘expanded field’.

The three-month fellowships attract a monthly stipend of £1,500. Awards provide full board and lodging in purpose-built studios at BSR. Awards offer all expenses paid studio time but there is no teaching or mentorship involved.
Applications (for BSR residencies in 2023/24) must be submitted by the deadline of 15 January 2023 (24:00 GMT).
