Pre-Announcement of Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CETPartnership) Second Call for Proposals

The Second Call for Proposals for the European CETPartnership is expected to launch in September 2023.

The CETPartnership is a new transnational initiative (one of the 49 European Partnerships in Horizon Europe (under Pillar 2, Cluster 5 Climate, Energy and Mobility)) on joint research, technological development and Innovation (RTDI) programming to boost and accelerate the energy transition, building upon regional and national RTDI funding programmes. It supports 15 years of transnational cooperation in nine energy relevant ERA-Nets.

The Partnership enables national and regional RTDI programme owners and managers from 30 countries to align their priorities, pool national budgets and implement annual joint calls from 2022 to 2027.

The second call is structured into 12 thematic call modules, arising from seven Transition Initiatives related to the major challenges described in the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA).

The indicative launch date for the second co-funded call is 20 September 2023. The call will follow a two-step application process, with the deadline for pre-proposals expected to be 22 November 2023.

A CETPartnership Call Launch Event Webinar for potential applicants will take place on 13 September 2023.
