August Deadline for 2025 Wiley Prize in Biomedical Sciences, 2024 Awardees Announced

The Wiley Foundation was established in 2001 to recognise and foster ongoing excellence in scientific achievement and discovery.

The Foundation annually presents the Wiley Prize in Biomedical Sciences to honour a specific contribution or series of contributions in the biomedical sciences that demonstrate significant leadership or innovation in the development of research concepts or their clinical application. It is now accepting applications for the 2025 edition. Prize awardees will have produced research that is distinguished by its excellence, originality, and impact on the understanding of biological systems and processes. Particular emphasis will be placed on research which champions novel approaches and challenges accepted thinking in the biomedical sciences. Eligible nominees are exceptional scientists or research teams from around the world.

The award comprises a monetary prize of $50,000.

The 2024 Prize was awarded to Judith Kimble, Allan Spradling and Raymond Schofield, who discovered the stem cell niche, a localised environment that controls stem cell identity.
