Innovate UK Announces Competition for Responsible AI in Personalised Learning

Innovate UK (IUK) is launching a competition for projects aimed at developing responsible AI-powered personalised learning solutions to enhance AI skills within key sectors, including construction, transport and logistics, creative industries, and agriculture and food processing.

This initiative aims to support high-quality education aligned with industry standards and the AI Skills for Business Competency Framework.

Projects should focus on building AI competencies through evidence-based educational methods, specifying measurable learning outcomes, and contributing to workforce upskilling and reskilling in BridgeAI sectors. Each project is required to identify an end user to pilot the developed solution, ensuring practical application and industry relevance.

Up to £2 million is available, with individual grants ranging from £50,000 to £100,000.

The competition is open to both single applicants and collaborative groups, provided the lead organisation is a UK-registered business, including at least one SME. Collaborators, also UK-registered, may include businesses, academic institutions, charities, public sector organisations, or research and technology organisations (RTOs).
