The CHEST Foundation is the patient-focused philanthropic arm of the American College of Chest Physicians. Its mission is to champion the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of lung health by supporting clinical research, patient education and team-based care.

Within the scope of its 2025 research funding programme, the CHEST Foundation is inviting proposals for its Equitable Community Health Impact Grant to support health care institutions and community partners working together to advance equitable health outcomes for communities most impacted by lung health disparities.

Projects must employ community-driven impact and solutions to advance health equity, going beyond the basic documentation of disparities. Applications can be submitted for new or existing projects and should demonstrate collaboratively designed, achievable, systems-based impact on the lung health of a community or communities.
