Sigma Theta Tau International Honour Society of Nursing – known as Sigma – is an international representative body for nurses and nursing. Its mission is to advance world health and celebrate nursing excellence in scholarship, leadership and service, and to respond to trends and issues in nursing and healthcare.
In collaboration with the American Board for Occupational Health Nurses (ABOHN), Sigma offers collaborative research grants to encourage qualified nurses to contribute to the advancement of occupational health through nursing research. Proposals for pilot and/or development research may be submitted for this grant.
Following the grant duration, applicants are expected to have developed a poster for submission to a conference (such as the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses (AAOHN) National Conference or the Association of Occupational Health Professionals in Healthcare (AOHP) National Conference) and/or have submitted their project for publication in a peer reviewed journal.
