CEFIPRA Indo-French Emerging Project Partnerships Programme

Funding is available for new bilateral projects in areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics that will strengthen scientific and technological cooperation between France and India.
The Indo-French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced Research (IFCPAR), also known as Centre Franco-Indien pour la Promotion de la Recherche Avancée (CEFIPRA) was established in 1987. It promotes collaborative research between India and France in cutting edge science and technology. The Centre receives financial support from the Department of Science & Technology of the Government of India and the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Government of France.
The Indo-French Emerging Project Partnerships Programme aims to support scientists to initiate new cooperation that strengthens the overall Indo-French science and technology network.
Its objectives are to:
- Promote quality scientific and technological exchanges between research organisations and research institutions of higher education from both countries.
- Expand and strengthen the Indo-French science and technology network with new collaborations of scientists (including students) leading to more impactful joint projects.
All science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) areas are eligible. Priority will be given to following areas:
- Decarbonised Hydrogen
- Applied Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Health Sciences
- Marine Sciences
Transdisciplinary projects included humanities and social sciences applied to STEM may also apply.
