Closing Date: –
Funding programme to strengthen maritime research infrastructures in Germany.
As part of its Maritimes Forschungsprogramm (Maritime Research Programme), the InfraBoost Initiative of the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie (BMWE – Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy) aims to strengthen maritime research infrastructures in Germany. The goal is to enable time-critical and strategically relevant investments so that maritime innovation players can continue to rely on high-performance research infrastructures in the future and Germany can maintain its competitiveness in international comparison.
Funding is based on the Maritime Research Programme funding guideline. In addition to research and development in industry-led joint projects, InfraBoost is expressly aimed at the following types of projects:
- Individual projects for investments in maritime research infrastructure with a duration exclusively in 2026.
- Companies or research institutions that can make an urgent investment that would not be feasible without funding.
- Projects with high potential for maritime R&D&I in the coming years, with high relevance for maritime applications and with high significance for the funding priorities of the Maritime Research Programme.
BMWE has appointed the project management agency Projektträger Jülich (PtJ) to coordinate the initiative on its behalf.
