Closing Date: 26/02/2026

Funding is available to CNRS researchers for innovative projects exploring new frontiers in chemistry.

France’s Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS – National Centre for Scientific Research) is a public scientific and technological establishment operating under the Ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche (MESR – French Ministry of Higher Education and Research). It consists of various thematic institutes and carries out research to advance scientific knowledge as well as to generate social, cultural and economic progress.

CNRS Chimie, the Centre’s dedicated chemistry institute, has launched a call for proposals titled EXPLORE, intended to support innovative and ambitious projects led by researchers belonging to the institute. The call hopes to encourage scientific risk taking and to explore new frontiers in key areas of chemistry.

Projects should align with one of the following three themes:

  • New challenges in molecular and supramolecular chemistry.
  • New analytical couplings for chemistry.
  • New frontiers in materials chemistry.
