Ludwig Guttmann Prize

Award to recognise outstanding research relating to spinal cord injuries with a focus on researchers from German-language countries.

Deutschsprachige Medizinische Gesellschaft für Paraplegiologie (DMGP – German-speaking Medical Society for Paraplegiology) is a multi-professional medical association for paraplegia. The organisation is dedicated to disseminating knowledge about the comprehensive treatment of paraplegics. It organises regular conferences and workshops, holds training events, publishes scientific findings and promotes scientific research.

As part of its work, DMGP presents the Ludwig Guttmann Prize for scientific work of high relevance to the medical and rehabilitative care of people with spinal cord injuries.
