2026 Ruban Rose Breast Cancer Research Prizes Open for Submissions
Submissions are welcome for the 2026 Ruban Rose Prizes, recognising innovations in breast cancer research.
Association Ruban Rose (Pink Ribbon Association) is an organisation involved in the fight against breast cancer through numerous initiatives and actions in France. The Ruban Rose Prizes are awarded to research projects and/or innovations relating to the fight against breast cancer.
In 2026, prizes will be awarded in three categories:
- Grand Prix Ruban Rose de la Recherche: The prize, worth €400,000, is aimed at doctors, researchers or teams whose work is internationally recognised. The prize supports basic, translational or clinical research of major interest in the field of breast cancer. It can be awarded to a candidate whose work has led to significant progress in the knowledge of breast cancers, the fight against these cancers or the improvement of their treatment. Eligible candidates must hold a PhD.
- Prix Ruban Rose Avenir: The prize covers the same areas as the Grand Prix Ruban Rose Research but is aimed at researchers who are presenting an innovative research programme (basic, translational or clinical) which is beneficial to the fight against breast cancer and who do not necessarily have any experience in the field. This Prize is an incentive to encourage more researchers to focus their work on breast cancer or to help other researchers in the structuring and realisation of their projects. Four prizes, each worth €250,000, will be awarded. Eligible candidates must hold a PhD.
- The Prix Ruban Rose Qualité de Vie: The prize is intended to support innovations and remarkable progress in screening techniques, reconstructive surgery, psychology and improvement in the quality of life for women with cancer. Five prizes, each worth €150,000, will be awarded. No particular qualification is required to submit an application for this prize.
There is no age limit to apply for any of the three prizes. Applicants must be professionals and cannot be students or PhD students.
