RVO TechBridge: Germany – Quantum Technologies in Aerospace

Grant funding for Dutch-German R&D collaborations to develop quantum technologies for practical aerospace applications.

Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO – Netherlands Enterprise Agency) is an executive body of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs. RVO aims to contribute to sustainable prosperity that meets the needs and ambitions of today and safeguards the economic and natural resources of tomorrow. RVO provides information, advice and funding. RVO designs and implements policy, and ensures compliance with laws and regulations.

With this call, the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs (EZ) encourages Dutch companies, knowledge institutions and research organisations to enter into R&D collaborations with innovative partners in Germany. The aim of these collaborations is to develop quantum technology for practical aerospace applications that are relevant to the sector in the short, medium and long term.

The collaborative project must focus on researching or developing an innovative product, process or service, with the aim of commercialising the results. Projects should fall within Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 4-7 and must address at least one of the following thematic areas: 

• Quantum-based Sensing and Navigation.
• Quantum Cryptography for Secure Communication.
• Quantum Computing for Optimisation and Simulation.

Only projects with a civilian purpose are eligible for funding.
