Bpifrance Applications for France-Taiwan Industrial Research Collaboration Projects to Open in June
The call invites joint R&D proposals from French and Taiwanese companies across selected technology sectors.
Created in 2013, Bpifrance is a French public investment bank that assists French companies by offering financing solutions to support their projects (creation, development through innovation, expanding into new markets in France or abroad, equity investment, takeover or external growth, etc).
In collaboration with Taiwan’s Department of Industrial Technology (DoIT) and Industrial Development Association (IDA), Bpifrance offers funding for innovation partnerships between Taiwan and France. The aim of this competition is to fund collaborative research and development projects focused on industrial research. Participants are invited to submit joint project proposals:
- Targeting the research and development of innovative products and applications with a strong market potential.
- Targeting the development of products, services, or industrial processes with concrete prospects for industrialisation and commercialisation.
Projects should lie within the field of technology, notably the space industry, smart technology, smart manufacturing, material and biotechnology, and green energy technology.
A consortium should be composed of at least one Taiwanese company and one French company (including start-ups, or small-medium sized enterprises (SMEs). Financing is awarded individually to participating organisations. Taiwanese partners will be funded by DoIT or IDA. French partners will be financed by Bpifrance. Bpifrance will provide funding ranging from €50,000 to €3 million, which will take the form of a loan. Funding will cover projects with a maximum duration of 36 months.
