CETPartnership Launches €84 Million Joint Call 2026 to Accelerate Clean Energy Innovation
Fifth co-funded call invites international RDI consortia to tackle energy transition challenges across 11 modules.
The Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CETPartnership) has launched its Joint Call 2026, the fifth co-funded call under the partnership. The call is intended to support high-quality transnational research, development and innovation (RDI) projects that contribute to accelerating the clean energy transition and support the aim of climate neutrality by 2050.
Joint Call 2026 is structured into 11 Call Modules, covering a range of technological and systemic challenges and different RDI approaches. Each participating national/regional funding organisation commits its budget to one or more Call Modules.
The call has a total indicative budget of over €84 million. Project durations are expected to be between 12 and 36 months, with applicants seeking between €0.5 million and €5 million per project, alongside any self-financing.
A consortium must include at least three Beneficiary Partners, including one Coordinator, from at least three different countries participating in the chosen Call Module. At least two Beneficiary Partners must be from EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries.
The following countries are participating in the call: Austria, Belgium, Canada/Alberta, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Norway, Poland, Republic of Korea, Romania, Slovak Republic, Spain, Sweden, Tunisia, Türkiye and United Kingdom (Northern Ireland).
The call supports participation from a wide range of organisations, including SMEs, large companies, universities, research organisations, public sector actors, and other relevant stakeholders.
Applicants must comply with specific national/regional eligibility criteria and requirements, which can be found in the call text.
The call operates in two stages, with pre-proposals followed by invited full proposals.
A Joint Call 2026 Launch Event was held on 26 May and a PowerPoint presentation and Q&A document are available on the CETPartnership website.
A Joint Call 2026 Q&A Session is expected to take place on 9 September 2026.
