Water Resource Award Worth €120,000 Now Open for Submissions

Award for outstanding research contributions to sustainable global water management in Germany.

Rüdiger Kurt Bode-Stiftung (Rüdiger Kurt Bode Foundation) is a charitable foundation set up by Rüdiger Bode in 2009. The foundation’s main area of activity is the triennial Water Resource Award (Wasser-Ressourcenpreis).

The award honours outstanding researchers in the natural sciences, life sciences and engineering who carry out interdisciplinary, application-oriented research on the intersection between science and society to develop strategies and concepts for the sustainable use of global water resources.

Eligible are researchers working at a research institution in Germany or a German research institution abroad. The award may be presented to individuals as well as research groups. Both direct applications and third-party nominations are accepted.

The award comprises a cash prize of €120,000 to support the awardees’ future research.
