TKI Agri & Food – PPP Call: SME Agri & Food
Closing Date: 08-01-2027
Funding for public-private partnership projects focused on practice-oriented innovation in the agri-food sector.
TKI Agri & Food has launched the SME public-private partnerships (PPPs) call to strengthen the innovation capacity of Dutch small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
This call supports public-private research and innovation partnerships that strengthen the innovation capacity of Dutch small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the agri-food sector. Projects must address practical innovation challenges within the Dutch agri-food domain and involve SMEs in a significant role in both the development and application of the innovation. Consortia may include research organisations, companies, and public or societal organisations where their participation contributes to the project’s objectives. However, SMEs must remain central to the project, as demonstrated through their substantive involvement, project activities, and share of project funding and costs.
Projects should be practice-oriented and focus on the development, validation, or demonstration of new knowledge, products, processes, services, or system solutions. Successful outcomes should have clear potential for implementation, commercialisation, or wider adoption.
The call welcomes proposals across a broad range of innovation themes and challenges. Projects with a predominantly fundamental research focus are generally not considered a good fit for this scheme. The PPP funding available through this call may be used exclusively for eligible research activities that qualify as industrial research.
