AACR Launches New Grant For Innovative Bladder Cancer Research
The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) is a large professional organisation dedicated to advancing cancer research. Its mission is to prevent and cure cancer through research, education, communication and collaboration.
The AACR has launched the Grant for Innovative Bladder Cancer Research to support translational and clinical projects focused on the development of novel approaches for the treatment of bladder cancer. This may involve utilising new animal models, enhancing detection and diagnosis methods, integrating cutting-edge technologies, and advancing treatment approaches.
Applications are invited from researchers currently in the field as well as investigators with experience in other areas of cancer or biomedical research who have promising ideas and approaches that can be applied to bladder cancer research.
Applicants must have a medical or doctoral degree (including PhD, MD, MD/PhD, DVM, DVM/PhD or equivalent) in a related field and not currently be a candidate for a further doctoral degree. Applicants with a DVM or are conducting research with non-human (excluding mouse) models in both bladder cancer and other fields will be given priority consideration.
At the start of the grant term, applicants must be independent investigators affiliated with an academic, medical or non-profit research institution and work at an academic, medical or research institution anywhere in the world. There are no citizenship or geographic requirements.
AACR membership is required. Non-members must submit a satisfactory application for AACR Associate Membership by the deadline.
The total value of the grant is $50,000 for expenses related to the research project.
