AgroServ Transnational/Virtual Access Programme

Closing Date: 15/01/2025

Free-of-charge transnational and virtual access opportunities for organisations within and outside the EU to access agroecology services across Europe.

AgroServ is a five-year long project running from 2022 to 2027 with a mission to support research and innovation in the field of agriculture and agroecology. The project is funded via the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme and aims to address the complex challenges faced by agricultural systems, including the need to sustainably feed a growing global population, combat climate change, preserve natural resources, and enhance biodiversity. The focus is on supporting research in sustainable and resilient agriculture, emphasising the ‘one health’ approach.

AgroServ runs a transdisciplinary transnational access and virtual access (TA/VA) programme to enable researchers from academia and industry to access 143 Research Services across Europe through a common portal. Applicants will be able to access transnational scientific data, specialised expertise, experimental sites, technology, and laboratories, connecting professionals from chemistry, biology, agronomy, ecology, bioengineering, analysis, sociology, and economics.

Projects should address interdisciplinary topics related to agroecology to enable the interaction of communities of researchers in widely separated areas. Access can consist of the following forms:

  • Physical access: access in person, with scientists (users) physically visiting the facility.
  • Remote access: services offered without the scientists physically visiting the facility (eg access to samples, etc).
  • Virtual access: access to data or models including the organisation’s cloud, data centres, etc.

Field experiments are eligible provided they meet the feasibility criteria at the selected facility.
