Applications Open for Diabetes UK RD Lawrence Fellowship
The Diabetes UK RD Lawrence Fellowship is a career development fellowship designed to enable postdoctoral researchers to establish their independence in diabetes research. Applicants are expected to have proven research experience and plan to specialise in diabetes research in the long-term.
Applicants should be in the early stage of their research career having between three and six years’ postdoctoral experience in diabetes research from the date of their doctoral degree examination (PhD viva). The research must take place at an established research institution in the UK.
Applicants can apply for up to a total of £525,000 over four or five years, depending on the study requirements. Funding can cover:
Salaries of the principle researcher, technician/postgraduate research assistant.
Consumables, materials, equipment and animal costs.
Costs associated with travel and registration to conferences.
Applicants must also include a work plan that takes into account the impact of COVID-19 on the project deliverables.
Applications should be submitted by the deadline of 30 October 2020.
