Applications Open for Interreg North Sea Region 2021-2027 Call 2
Funding is available for transnational cooperation projects in the North Sea Region.
The European territorial cooperation programmes, including the Interreg programmes, promote cooperation and economic development across EU Member States. Interreg is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Interreg North Sea Region Call 2 is open for the following types of application:
- Expressions of interest
- Small-scale project applications
- Full applications based on successful Call 1 expressions of interest
- Full applications without a preceding expression of interest
All projects funded by the programme must address one of the programme’s priorities:
- Priority 1: Robust and smart economies
- Priority 2: A green transition
- Priority 3: A climate resilient North Sea Region
- Priority 4: Better maritime governance
The North Sea Programme is open to anyone in the programme area, which is the whole of Denmark and the Netherlands, the Flemish region of Belgium, northwest Germany, northwest France, the south western area of Sweden and all but the northern-most regions of Norway.
Organisations apply as part of a partnership. Every partnership in a project must include at least three partners from three different countries. Private companies, and in particular SMEs, are welcome in projects but cannot take on the role as lead partner.
There is no formal minimum or maximum budget for regular projects, but projects will be assessed on value for money and larger projects will be expected to deliver significant and tangible benefits to the programme area.
The deadline for all applications is 14 November 2022 (CET).
