Asthma + Lung UK PhD Studentships
Closing Date: 29/01/2025
Support for PhD researchers in the UK who will utilise existing data to address unmet needs faced by people living with lung conditions.
Asthma + Lung UK (a merger of Asthma UK and the British Lung Foundation) is a UK-based lung charity working to support everyone to be able to breathe freely.
Funding is available through the PhD Studentships scheme to support PhD researchers undertaking studies in the respiratory field. Utilising health data is crucial to understanding how lung conditions develop and progress, as well as their immense economic and health burden. There is a particular interest in projects that will utilise existing data to address unmet needs faced by people living with lung conditions. Applicants must use a legitimate, recognised existing source or sources of data.
Applications must be made by a prospective PhD student as the principal applicant, with established investigator(s) named as co-applicants who will act as supervisors. The PhD project and application should be developed alongside supervisors.
Grants are allocated in line with Asthma + Lung UK’s Research and Innovation Strategy.
