Grant for early career academic and physician researchers conducting basic research to advance knowledge of primary ciliary dyskinesia.

The American Thoracic Society (ATS) is a non-profit organisation focused on improving care for pulmonary diseases, critical illnesses and sleep-related breathing disorders, including asthma, COPD, lung cancer, sepsis, acute respiratory distress, and sleep apnoea, among other diseases.

The ATS/Margaret W Leigh/PCD Foundation Early Career Investigator Award supports early career postdoctoral researchers, including fellows, PhDs and physician scientists, conducting primary research in the field of primary ciliary dyskinesia. Research must be relevant to the mission of the PCD Foundation – to improve the health and wellbeing of patients with primary ciliary dyskinesia – and support the candidate’s development into an independent biomedical researcher.
