Funding to support exceptional artists based in Scotland to enable them to study and work in Rome.
Founded in 1901, the British School at Rome (BSR) is a research academy based in Rome, Italy. It is mainly funded by the British Academy and supports studies of the arts, architecture, humanities and social sciences within the Rome and Italian context.
BSR’s Wilhelmina Barns-Graham Research Residency is offered to exceptional artists, working in any media, to spend six weeks in Rome. Candidates should be of British or Commonwealth nationality and resident in Scotland.
