ChemistryNL- PPP Innovation Funding: Chemistry and Advanced Materials for Defence
Funding for public-private research projects in coatings, advanced ceramics and additive manufacturing that strengthen the Dutch defence-related knowledge base.
The Public-Private Partnership Innovation (PPP-I) 2026 Call: Chemistry and Advanced Materials for Defence is coordinated by ChemistryNL. The call supports public-private research projects that strengthen the Dutch knowledge base and contribute to Europe’s strategic autonomy in defence-related technologies.
Projects may span the full innovation chain, from fundamental research to experimental development in a civilian setting, and must align with one of three focus areas:
- Coatings
- Advanced ceramics
- Additive manufacturing
The programme seeks innovations that enhance the performance, sustainability and autonomy of defence equipment. Potential applications include chromium-6-free corrosion-resistant coatings, lightweight ceramic materials for protective purposes, and advanced 3D-printing technologies for the local production and repair of components.
