CHF Scholarship for Researchers Committed to Advancing Congenital Heart Defect Research in Racial and Ethnic Minority Communities

Funding to support researchers enrolled on a research-focused Master’s or PhD programmes who have a commitment to clinical or translational research related to congenital heart defects in racial and ethnic minority populations.

The Children’s Heart Foundation (CHF) is a US-based non-profit organisation that funds promising research to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects (CHD). The CHF research funding programme is aimed at supporting investigations in clinical cardiology, including surgical and interventional techniques, as well as translational research and population science.

The CHF has issued a one-off Request for Applications in 2025 for the Scholarship for Researchers Committed to Advancing Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) Research in Racial and Ethnic Minority Communities.

The scholarship is aimed at individuals who are dedicated to conducting research on CHDs and improving the health outcomes of racial and ethnic minority populations. The award is intended to partially offset the cost of formal graduate-level research training for applicants pursuing a Master’s or PhD degree, with a focus on translational or clinical research on CHDs and minority communities.
