Europe-wide student competition in the area of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI).

The CISPA Helmholtz Center for Information Security is a national Big Science institution within the Helmholtz Association. It explores information security in all its facets.

CISPA is launching the European Cybersecurity and AI Hackathon Championship with the aim to strengthen Europe’s position as a global hub for digital excellence. It is intended to promote the next generation of researchers by fostering skills in the areas of cybersecurity and AI while raising awareness  of the need for trustworthy technologies.

The competition involves a series of regional competitions in France, Austria, Sweden, Spain, and Poland. Each regional event is a 24-hour weekend hackathon, bringing together up to 200 Bachelor’s and Master’s students. Participants will be asked to solve three tasks at the intersection of cybersecurity and AI.

The regional hackathons are then followed by a Grand Finale held at CISPA in St Ingbert in Germany.
