Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CETPartnership) Fourth Call Open to Application
The CETPartnership is a transnational initiative (one of the co-funded European Partnerships in Horizon Europe (under Pillar 2, Cluster 5: Climate, Energy and Mobility)) on joint research, development and innovation (RDI) programming to boost and accelerate the energy transition, building upon regional and national RDI funding programmes.
The Joint Call 2025 is the fourth co-funded call under the CETPartnership. The call aims to select RDI projects that will become part of the CETPartnership to accelerate the clean energy transition and to contribute to the goal of climate neutrality by 2050.
The call has a budget of approximately €80 million. Each national/regional funding organisation participating in the call commits its budget to different call modules. The call generally aims to support projects with a duration of between 12 and 36 months and applying for funding in the range of (but not limited to) €0.5 million to €5 million, in addition to any self-financing.
The following countries are participating in the call: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel (tbc), Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania (tbc), South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Türkiye and United Kingdom (Scotland).
A Project Consortium must consist of a minimum of three Beneficiary Partners (including one Coordinator) adhering to relevant national/regional eligibility criteria, from a minimum of three different countries participating in the selected call module. Of these three Beneficiary Partners, at least two must be from EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries.
All project partners will be evaluated according to national/regional eligibility criteria and requirements. Funding agencies may require submission of a proposal on a national/regional level.
The CETPartnership held a Joint Call 2025 information event on 28 May 2025 (presentation and recording available). A Q&A session is planned for 10 September 2025.
The Joint Call 2025 is performed in two stages: submission of a pre-proposal followed by an invitation to submit a full proposal.
The deadline for submission of pre-proposals is 9 October 2025 (14:00 CET).
