Cure Parkinson’s Combination Therapies Funding Call

Closing Date: 24/11/2025

Funding for preclinical and clinical applications from around the world to test rationally designed combinations of two or more drugs for disease modification in Parkinson’s.

Cure Parkinson’s is a patient-led charity with the aim of raising money to fund and facilitate research into finding a cure for Parkinson’s.

Cure Parkinson’s has launched the Combination therapies funding call to support both preclinical and clinical applications from around the world to test rationally designed combinations of two or more drugs for disease modification in Parkinson’s.

For preclinical projects, projects that are likely to lead to clinical trials in people with Parkinson’s within five years will be prioritised. For clinical applications, funding can be used to support clinical trials or sub-studies of trials evaluating drug combinations in people with Parkinson’s.

The call defines combination therapy as a treatment that involves two or more active agents to achieve a desired biological effect. Although combination therapies can involve interventional treatments, such as diet and exercise, this call is solely concerned with combinations of drugs. Combinations can be novel, meaning they have not been tested together before, or repurposed/repositioned, meaning that the combination of agents is already licensed for another disease indication.
