ELLIS Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning PhD Award 2024
The European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems (ELLIS) is a pan-European non-profit organisation established in 2018. Its mission is the promotion of artificial intelligence (AI) with a focus on machine learning.
The ELLIS PhD Award is presented annually to recognise and encourage outstanding research achievements during the dissertation phase in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning related fields (including computer vision and robotics). The award is sponsored by the Kühborth Stiftung GmbH.
Eligible candidates are the authors of a European dissertation in the area of artificial intelligence and machine learning related fields (including computer vision and robotics) that has been defended in the previous calendar year. A dissertation is considered European if it has been performed primarily at a European research institution.
Typically, there are two awards per calendar year, one given to a female researcher and one to a male researcher. Each awardee will receive €2,500 prize money.
Nominations concerning dissertations defended during 2023 must be submitted by email to ELLIS by the deadline of 15 April 2024.
