FECAVA Laboklin Travel Scholarship Open to Applications
Established in 1990, the Federation of Companion Animal Veterinary Associations (FECAVA) promotes professional development within companion animal veterinary practice and represents companion animal veterinarians in Europe.
The FECAVA Laboklin Travel Scholarship supports the appreciation of varying cultures by enabling two groups of small animal veterinary surgeons from different parts of Europe to visit each other for a few days to observe practice life and ideally participate in a joint Continuing Education event. The scheme is supported financially by Laboklin.
Applications are accepted from groups in FECAVA member countries (Armenia, Austria, Belgium, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Macedonia, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and United Kingdom). FECAVA can help to find a suitable exchange partner.
Proposals can be made by a group of practising companion veterinarians (minimum of two people). Up to €2,000 per scholarship is available. The exact use of the funds of the awarded scholarship is subject to the judgement and decision of the exchange participants. Example costs are travel expenses, accommodation costs of the visitors, room hire and similar incidental costs.
The deadline for applications for visits in 2020/21 is 1 July 2020 for individual applications and 1 August 2020 for joint applications.
