Fondation ARC Accepting Proposals on Treatment Resistance in Pancreatic Cancer

For 2026, Fondation ARC’s annual pancreatic cancer call will focus on understanding and overcoming treatment resistance.

Fondation ARC (Association pour la Recherche sur le Cancer – Cancer Research Association) has launched the latest call for proposals as part of its ongoing programme on pancreatic cancer. For 2026, the focus of the call is on treatment resistance.

The call aims to support research to improve understanding of the mechanisms of treatment resistance in pancreatic cancer and to develop innovative strategies for overcoming this resistance. Basic, translational and clinical research projects are all welcome.

Projects may:

  • Study the role of the microenvironment of pancreatic tumours (stroma, immune cells etc) in treatment resistance.
  • Study the impact of the microbiota in the treatment response of pancreatic tumours and approaches to overcome associated resistance.
  • Target treatment resistance mechanisms in order to improve the efficacy of existing treatments.
  • Explore the role of emerging approaches such as pharmacometabolomics.
  • Propose new therapeutic approaches (new therapeutic combinations, new methods of administration etc).

The project leader must hold a full, permanent position in a hospital, university or research organisation in France, or hold a temporary position that covers the grant period. Each team involved in the application must be affiliated with a public research institution (university, public science and technology research bodies etc), a not-for-profit organisation (association, foundation etc), or a public health institution.

The maximum project funding is:

  • Basic research projects: €450,000 over three years.
  • Translational research projects: €600.00 over three or four years.
  • Clinical research projects: €1 million over 3-5 years.
