Fondation FondaMental/Wakam Precision Mind Prize

Prize to award research on biomarkers in mental health by French-British collaborative teams.

The Fondation FondaMental (FondaMental Foundation) is a research foundation dedicated to the fight against mental illness. It combines care and cutting-edge research to promote personalised and multidisciplinary support for psychiatric disorders.

The Precision Mind Prize by French insurance company, Wakam, and Fondation FondaMental supports Franco-British research on psychiatric biomarkers. It aims to foster ambitious translational research projects based on collaboration between French and British teams, accelerating the development of precision psychiatry to benefit patients.

The Precision Mind Prize aims to: 

• Support the discovery and validation of blood-based biomarkers (omics, immunological etc) for stratification or prognosis in mental disorders.
• Promote high-level French-UK scientific cooperation.
• Contribute to the implementation of precision medicine in psychiatry. Projects must demonstrate strong potential for clinical and scientific impact and be based on innovative approaches integrating existing cohorts, advanced analytical tools and multidisciplinary collaborations.
