Fondation LO Frossard Prize

Prize awarded to a doctoral or postdoctoral researcher conducting research into the history of socialism.

Fondation LO Frossard (LO Frossard Foundation), a foundation hosted by the Fondation de France, was created in memory of socialist-communist political leader, Ludovic-Oscar Frossard. The aim of the Foundation is to award an annual prize to reward a early-career researcher who has written a study or thesis devoted to the evolution of socialism and the life and work of LO Frossard. 

The LO Frossard Prize aims to support one thesis/PhD or postdoctoral student annually. Research must focus on the history of socialism (from the 1890s to the Second World War). Preference will be given to works evoking the life and work of LO Frossard.
