These funded opportunities support mathematicians and computer scientists, each hosted by an FSMP laboratory in Paris, France, for a period of 6-12 months, to carry out a programme of research and teaching.
The Foundation for Mathematical Sciences of Paris (FSMP – Fondation Sciences Mathématiques de Paris) is an excellence network in mathematics and fundamental computer science located in Paris. It was founded in 2006 by CNRS, ENS, the Pierre et Marie Curie University, Paris-Diderot University, and the four Mathematics Chairs of Collège de France.
Through its Chairs of Excellence initiative, FSMP hosts one or two high-profile mathematicians each year in one or more of its affiliated laboratories.
Laureates are each supported to carry out a research and teaching programme over 6-12 months, possibly spread over two academic years, involving doctoral-level teaching, a research project and at least one scientific event.
