German University Medicine Award 2024 Now Open for Applications
The German University Medicine Award (Preis der Deutschen Hochschulmedizin) is awarded annually by Deutsche Hochschulmedizin, an association of university hospitals and medical schools in Germany that promotes networking, training and research for excellent patient care and medical practice.
The award is intended to strengthen medical research at universities in Germany. It honours outstanding team achievements in the field of basic medical research as well as clinical or translational research. To be considered for the award, project’s must offer innovations that have a societal impact. This may take the shape of particular significance for patient care, the translation of results into application, or the prevention of diseases.
Applications are open to teams at university hospitals and medical schools in Germany. The publication of results submitted as part of the application may not date back more than two years at the time of application.
The award offers a prize sum of €25,000.
