gif Real Estate Research Award Open for Applications
The gif Real Estate Research Award is presented annually by Gesellschaft für Immobilienwirtschaftliche Forschung (gif – Society of Property Researchers), a membership organisation dedicated to knowledge exchange and networking in the field of property research in Germany.
The award honours outstanding research relating to the real estate industry. The call is open to a broad range of research disciplines including architecture, urban development, construction and engineering, business administration, geosciences and social sciences, facility management, real estate economics, spatial and urban planning, law and economics.
The award is presented in four different categories:
- Bachelor’s theses.
- Diplom and Master’s theses.
- Doctoral thesis and postdoctoral thesis (Habilitation)
- Other scientific publications (working papers, scientific project reports, research papers and essays).
The competition is open to students, doctoral candidates, researchers and practitioners in Germany. The award in each category is presented on the basis of written work that must have been completed in the last 18 months.
The overall award budget across all prize categories is €12,500. Prize winners generally receive cash awards between €3,000 and €1,000.
