Funding and drug development support for scientists based in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom whose work aims to treat, prevent or cure Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
The Harrington Discovery Institute is a non-profit medical institute dedicated to physician-scientists, enabling them to transform breakthrough insights into novel therapies that enhance patient care. The Institute was established in 2012 as part of The Harrington Project for Discovery & Development, with a mission to create next-generation medicines for the benefit of society.
The Harrington Discovery Institute’s Brain Health Medicines Scholar Award provides funding and drug development support to researchers whose work aims to treat, prevent or cure Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. The funders are seeking:
- Discoveries demonstrating rigorous science, creativity, innovation, and potential for clinical impact.
- Any therapeutic modality.
- Novel, validated targets.
In addition to funding, the opportunity provides scholars with a dedicated Project Manager for the duration of the award, as well as drug development, commercial strategy and business development support from Harrington’s Therapeutics Development Center experts.
The grant lasts for one year with the potential to renew for a second year if set milestones are achieved.
