Houghton Trust Researcher Mobility Grants
Closing Date: 30/06/2026
Funding is available to support short-term staff exchanges for young researchers in avian diseases.
The Houghton Trust is a registered charity that was established with the primary objective of furthering knowledge in the field of avian pathology in all matters related to the diseases of birds, including bacteriology, epizootiology, genetics, immunology, parasitology, pathology, toxicology and virology and the dissemination of such extended knowledge to the public.
It produces Avian Pathology, the Journal of the World Veterinary Poultry Association, awards travel grants to young scientists and modest research grants, and sponsors lectures at prestigious international meetings.
Research Mobility Awards support short-term staff exchanges for young researchers in avian diseases. These will allow training and personal development in a laboratory other than the applicant’s own to learn new techniques or collaborate in research in areas not available in their own place of work.
The purpose of the application must be outlined in detail, including expected benefits such as enhanced expertise, publications or future collaboration.
Awards will normally be for periods not exceeding two months.
