Small seed funding grant awards to support projects aiming to investigate disparities in sex, gender and racial disparities in pain research.

The International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) is the leading professional forum for science, practice and education in the field of pain research. Membership of IASP is open to all professionals involved in research, diagnosis or treatment of pain.

The IASP Sex, Gender, Race, and Pain SIG Early Career Investigator and Partnership Grants are small seed funding grants intended to support projects in advancing sex, gender, and racial disparities in pain care.

Support is intended for investigators to develop and strengthen meaningful relationships and research collaborations with diverse local communities and people with lived experience of pain, enabling research that is of relevance to advancing sex, gender, and racial disparities in pain care.

Priority will be given to early-career investigators, applicants from low- and middle-income countries and proof-of-concept experiments to catalyse future grant applications.
