One-off award to recognise successfully completed and innovative technology transfer projects that translate research and development results into commercial applications in Germany.
The 2027 Gauss Prize (Gauß-Preis) is offered by IHK Braunschweig (Braunschweig Chamber of Industry and Commerce) to mark the 250th anniversary of the birth of Carl Friedrich Gauss. The aim of the national competition is to recognise successful and innovative forms of technology transfer from research institutes to industry. It is intended to promote cooperation between the academic and business sectors and honour researchers who have rendered outstanding service in transferring research and development results into commercial practice.
