The Fondation Jean Laplanche – Nouveaux fondements pour la psychanalyse (Jean Laplanche Foundation – New Foundations for Psychoanalysis) is a foundation of the Institut de France, established in 2009 by psychoanalyst Jean Laplanche. The Foundation aims to contribute to the development of psychoanalysis in both France and abroad and continue the work of Laplanche, focussing on the translation and publication of his works in foreign languages.
The Foundation’s research grants are intended for students engaged in doctoral studies, leading to a thesis written in French, English, German, Spanish, Italian or Portuguese, or for doctorate holders wishing to continue their research work, in fields directly related to the work of Jean Laplanche.
