KNAW Humanities Fund

Funding to support early-career humanities researchers to undertake a research visit abroad for a period of one to three months.

The Koninklijke Nederlandse Akademie van Wetenschappen (KNAW – Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences) is an organisation dedicated to the advancement of science and literature in the Netherlands. In addition to various advisory and administrative functions it operates a number of research institutes and awards various prizes.

The KNAW Humanities Fund aims to support early-career researchers in the humanities with funding to gain knowledge and experience outside the Netherlands. Applicants can request a grant for a working visit in the field of the humanities to a university, research institute, library, museum, or related institution outside the Netherlands.

The fund is intended to promote research in the humanities. It strongly encourages applications from researchers who are currently underrepresented in the academic world.
