Funding to support the cost of research conferences, specialist workshops, or to facilitate the attendance of researchers/speakers at a conference.
Muscular Dystrophy UK is a UK charity focusing on muscular dystrophy and other related conditions. The charity aims to find treatments and cures for neuromuscular conditions and improve the lives of everyone affected by them.
Muscular Dystrophy UK provides Conference Support Grants for events related to neuromuscular conditions and related muscular disorders, in accordance with its research strategy. Supported events will facilitate communication and collaboration in the global scientific community to ensure researchers share their knowledge and expertise.
Funding is available for the following three types of support grant:
- Funding for conference organisers to allow UK-based researchers/speakers to attend a conference, either hosted in the UK or overseas.
- Conference grants to support the cost of research conferences (scientific and/or clinical) where either the whole event or specific sessions are relevant to one or more of Muscular Dystrophy UK’s research aims and priorities.
- Specialist workshop grants to support the cost of small or specialist workshops (scientific and/or clinical) on topics of relevance to one or more of Muscular Dystrophy UK’s research aims and priorities. Funding will support multi-institution events to facilitate knowledge exchange in as wide an audience as possible; single institution events will not be considered for funding.
