Nature Awards Healthspan Accelerator

This accelerator programme supports global health researchers in transforming innovative healthspan research into real-world solutions that extend healthy lives.

The Nature Awards Healthspan Accelerator, delivered in partnership with Voyager, helps researchers turn their human health discoveries into real-world practice to transform the human healthspan. The programme provides tools, training, and mentorship to ensure research delivers maximum impact.

In 2025, the accelerator will focus on four priority areas:

• Regulating host metabolism and the rate of aging.
• Identifying and mediating aging cells.
• Reducing risk factors and slowing neurodegeneration.
• Attenuating age-associated inflammation.

This includes:

• Approaches that manipulate or modulate the biological mechanisms of physical and cognitive aging to promote optimal health outcomes and longer lives.
• Research leading to new products and treatment modalities, including medical devices, natural products, nutritional science, and related tools.
• Innovative solutions such as wearables and real-time biomarker tracking to monitor biological age and metabolic health and support lifestyle interventions.

Applicants with validated therapies or nutritional supplements targeting metabolic or longevity pathways, or with in vitro/in vivo models to assess efficacy on aging biomarkers, are especially encouraged to apply, though applications outside these areas will still be considered.
