NIHR Global Health Research Cohort Academic Development Awards (GHR CADA)
Closing Date: 13/02/2025
Funding for NIHR Global Health Research programme training leads/programme directors to deliver training and career development activities.
Established in 2006 and primarily funded by the Department of Health and Social Care, the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) funds health and care research in the UK.
Through the NIHR Global Health Research Cohort Academic Development Awards (GHR CADA), NIHR GHR programme training leads/programme directors can apply for funding to deliver training and career development activities.
The scheme helps GHR programme cohorts, primarily focused in low and middle income countries (LMICs), to develop skills needed for a successful academic research career. GHR programme cohorts will be able to:
- Gain exposure to multidisciplinary working.
- Build networks with leading experts.
- Provide peer support.
- Collaborate with other GHR programmes and foster cross-NIHR GHR working.
NIHR GHR CADA is funded by Official Development Assistance (ODA). Applications and nominations must directly and primarily benefit patients and the public in countries on the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Development Assistance Committee (DAC) list of ODA recipients (OECD DAC list).
