Nominations Open for Lefoulon-Delalande Cardiovascular Research Grand Prize

The annual award recognises significant contributions to cardiovascular physiology, biology and medicine.

Fondation Lefoulon-Delalande (Lefoulon-Delalande Foundation) is a not-for-profit organisation based in France that supports cardiovascular medical research in its broadest sense.

Its Grand Prize is an annual award for an individual working in France or abroad who has made a significant scientific contribution to cardiovascular physiology, biology or medicine. Eligible areas include vascular and pulmonary physiology, reconstructive surgery, tissue replacement, imaging and instrumentation, pharmacology, therapeutic approaches, epidemiology and genetics.

The scope also covers cell behaviour, molecular mechanisms, regeneration, gene and cell therapies, cell differentiation, development and congenital malformations. Contributions may therefore relate to research, clinical practice or the development of medical technologies within cardiovascular science.

The award is worth €600,000 in total. The winner receives €120,000 while €480,000 is allocated to the host institution. The prize is generally awarded to one person, although it may be divided among several candidates.
